What does it do?
Rhinitis is an irritation and inflammation of the nose. Rhinitis is caused by airborne irritants, virus, or bacteria which trigger the release of histamine. Histamine opens the blood vessels, causes swollen membranes, and produce excessive fluids. Rhinitis is often associated with the common cold, or flu.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), rhinitis is due to the insufficiency of Qi (Chi) energy of the lung and the subsequently weakened protection of the respiratory track from the foreign substances like bacteria and virus (toxins). Bi Yan Pian combines multiple Chinese herbs that act at several aspects to help relieve rhinitis. It disperses wind and expels toxins to relieve inflammation. Moreover, it dissolves phlegm (especially thick, yellow discharge), clears discharge and thus opens the nasal passages. Bi Yan Pian can be used for rhinitis, allergy, chronic rhinitis, and sinusitis.†
Bi Yan Pian works most effectively with acute rhinitis caused by the common cold or flu. It usually clears the nasal passages in 5 days.1 It takes longer for chronic rhinitis. In a study of 27 cases, 22 were found recovered and the other 5 improved.1
Bi Yan Pian also works more effectively with acute sinusitis than chronic sinusitis. It usually clears the nasal passages in a week.1 It takes longer for chronic sinusitis. In a study of 91 sinusitis cases, 61 out of 66 acute sinusitis were recovered (the remaining 5 were improved) whereas 5 out of 25 chronic sinusitis were recovered (the remaing 20 improved).1

How do I use it?
The standard dosage for Nasopass™ is 6 tablets taken 2 to 3 times daily with or before meals. One bottle lasts users 11 to 17 days. The dose may be doubled for a quicker and stronger response as needed (e. g., in an acute phase). Consult your practitioner for precise dosage recommendations based on body weight and other factors.
Nasopass™ has a mild action and therefore it usually takes time before its effects become apparent. It may take one month or more before symptoms begin to improve. An initial course of treatment is suggested as 4 - 6 bottles taken at the full dose.
