Traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) have had a central focus
on the sexual wellness which
can be addressed at multiple levels ranging from erectile dysfunction (sexual impotence) to sexual energy.
Unlike modern wonder drugs such as Viagra that work directly on the penis to arouse erection, TCM's
approach is to build up the systemic elements of health so that active sexual life will follow
naturally. The TCM's approach may take weeks and even months to take effect. People have their general
health improved along the way with their sexual wellness, whereas Viagra ignores the underlying cause of impotence and
its extensive use may lead to the drain of the sexual energy.

You may have seen advertisements on sexual enhancement pills
that are promised to work like Viagra. The truth is that no substances derived from herbs,
whether Chinese herbs or other herbs, have been found to work as strongly as Viagra. If any
sexual enhancement pill ever comes to work like Viagra, it is almost certain that the active ingredient
in Viagra has been added to the pill. Of course, neither the manufacturer nor the marketers will disclose it.

So what do Traditional Chinese medicines do?
|
|
Sex is an interplay of multiple factors of physiological,
psychological, social, and anatomical origins. For example, erectile dysfunction can be caused by the
mechanical aspect of the erection process, by diseases of other organs, by depression, by side effects
of prescription drugs on other medications. In such cases, restoration of impotency needs to address
the underlying cause.
|
|
Most erectile dysfunctions in TCM terms are the result of the
kidney deficiency. This is consistent with the TCM theory that believes the kidney is
fundamental to all organs and is the source for sexual vitality. Kidney functions decline with age. Signs of
kidney deficiency generally start to occur at fourties but may occur from thirties and even childhood in
some cases and after some diseases. A good indicator for such signs is the weakness and
soreness of the lower back and knees. The pain is weak but may be persistent.

|
We have several Chinese herbal medicines for impotency due to kidney
deficiency. These include YounGainTM,
You Gui Wan, and Cong Rong Bu Shen Wan.
Among them, YounGain combines multiple sex promoting herbs for the strongest action whereas
You Gui Wan is a well known ancient formula that works more mildly. They are indicated for impotency
associated typically with soreness of loins, cold limbs, lassitude, and loose stool. As we discussed above,
they do not work instantly like Viagra.
|
|
Kidney deficiency in most cases does not culminate at impotency.
However, it affects the sexual wellness with respect to the frequency, length, and orgasm of sex.
In addition to the sore waist, the signs of kidney deficiency
may fall into two patterns, Yin or Yang deficiency.
The Yang deficiency pattern includes cold limbs, lassitude, and/or pale face. On the other hand,
the Yin deficiency pattern involves sweat, hay fever, dizziness, thirst,
and/or tinnitus. At the beginning, you may notice the signs only after sexuality, overwork under stress,
and repeated late nights.

|
Several Chinese herbal medicines are well respected for nourishing
kidney Yin and Yang. These include YanViveTM
for replenishing kidney Yang, YinViveTM and
Zuo Gui Wan for replenishing kidney Yin. They are widely prescribed
in China for signs of kidney Yin- or Yang deficiency. Millions of middle or old age people also take one of
these kidney tonics regularly for general maintenance of kidney function and to
help the body recover from sexuality, overwork, and busy life styles.
|
|
We suggest do not wait until signs of kidney deficiency develop.
If you are over 40, overwork under stress, sexually active, and have repeated late nights, be alarmed for the
early signs. For example, you may feel too tired for sex, your erection not as hard and lasting as before,
and weak lower back the next day after sex. YinViveTM
is highly recommended.

|
It should be mentioned that the above Chinese herbal medicines
are not only used for the sexual wellness of man. They are also used for sexual wellness of woman.
