What does it do?

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the blood must nourish the Heart in order for the Shen (spirit) to remain calm. When there is insufficient blood (most often of the Heart and/or Liver), the Spirit may become distressed or restless, resulting in trouble sleeping or emotional instability.

Te Xiao Zao Ren An Mian Wan nourishes blood to calm the mind, and relaxes the body. Te Xiao Zao Ren An Mian Wan is also helpful for supportng a more positive mood and outlook.†

Te Xiao Zao Ren An Mian Pian contains Chinese herbs that calm the Shen (spirit) and nourish Yin and blood. Many of these herbs have marked soothing effects. This is a very calming formula used most frequently for supporting a restful sleep.

Gou Teng (Uncaria hook) extinguishes Liver wind and calms the spirit. Yuan Zhi (Polygala root) calms the Heart and spirit but also strengthens Heart Qi, disperses stagnation from the Heart and clears the orifices. Hu Po Fen (Amber) calms the spirit.

Suan Zao Ren (Sour Jujube seed) is one of the most commonly used herbs for supporting a good sleep. Suan Zao Ren nourishes the Heart and calms the spirit and also stops sweating when combined with Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra seed). Wu Wei Zi calms the heart and spirit and resolves worry and dream-disturbed sleep (which are signs of Yin and blood failing to nourish the heart). Bai Zi Ren (Platycladus seed) nourishes heart and calms the spirit to support a good sleep in cases of Heart blood deficiency. Shou Wu Teng (Polygonum vine), also known as Ye Jiao Teng, nourishes the Heart and calms the spirit due to general blood deficiency while also clearing the meridian pathways. Shou Wu Teng is often used together with Suan Zao Ren and Bai Zi Ren.

Dan Shen (Salvia root) regulates blood circulation, calms the spirit and dispels heat from the Heart.

Zhi Mu (Anemarrhena) clears heat, nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin and moistens dryness.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT PRODUCT I have try many,many,many products in the last 10 years for sleeping related issues, but nothing comperes to this product, you name it i have try it, too many names to list here, but i been using this product only for 3 weeks & I been sleeping way better than anything I have try on the past. i have never done any reviews on any products( why ) cuz if i have nothing good to say about a product that i've try before its cuz everyone is different & i dont do a review, been said that, give this a try i also been taking YOUNAGAIN ANOTHER EXTREMELY GOOD PRODUCT!!!!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than the Old Formula! I am not a fan of Guang Ci Tang's recent reformulation of several herbal products I use, but I am a fan of this one! I use it to go to sleep easily and stay asleep for the whole night. I find that if I take it regularly, I don't have to use a full dose (I am very sensitive), but it also helps calm me and stabilize my mood during the day. The only problem I've had is distinguishing the bottle from Nasal AllergiClear, which has a similar Chinese name. I just put an S on the bottle lid, so I don't confuse the two.

I take 5 tablets three times a day now - after starting with 7 tablets three times a day for the first two months. While using it I have also lowered my blood pressure by 20 points and my pulse rate has gone down from 90 bpm to the low 70's.

During that time, I can only sleep continuely for 4 hours and would have palpitation and nightmare, and wake up and then couldn’t fall asleep for the next 4 hours. A while ago I purchased Sleepeace and took 5 tablets before bed for about a week. It did help the quality and the length of my sleep. I could sleep 5 to 6 hours without disruption. However, I felt drowsy after waking up and I didn’t like the feelings so I switched to another herbs, SpiritCalm. It helped in the other way around but some issues remained ( please see my review for SpiritCalm). Finally, the combination of these two herbs with reduced dose gave me a peaceful and 8 hours sleep. I am so happy that I can finally sleep sound and long enough. Thanks for your products.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a very good calmitive. I bought this after my herb doctor suggested it. I have used it in the past for a calmative and to help with my hyper acid stomach. It works great and is much cheaper than the Rx my medical doctor wanted me to try. No side effects with this either, unlike the Rx. Several friends now use this.

I don't take it early in the day because I do find it relaxes me. I take my first dose afternoon and then evening. It doesn't leave me drowzy and I get deeper sleep using it. I'm hard to please when it comes to sleep aides. This is a good one.

I take more than the recommended number but my accupuncturist said I could safely take whatever number of tablets I needed to sleep which I do. They help me more than any over-the-counter products I have tried with absolutely no side-effects.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great title/fits product well I have only been taking this product for a few days but I find that I am sleeping much better. I take 6-8 pills at. night about 30 minutes before bed time and I find I fall asleep right away and I sleep straight through for 5-6 hours. I then fall back to sleep easily for at least a 45 minutes to an hour. Before using this product I was only able to sleep for about 5 hours a night. This is definitely an excellent herbal combination. I also have started taking Spirit Calm and I think it is a good companion medicine.

    Hello! Is it best to take this product on an empty or full stomach? Is it ok to take like 7 pills 30 minutes before sleep or upon waking up during the night? Thanks
