Jian Zhou Tong Wan (Jian Zhou Tong Pian,
肩周痛丸),
literally "Shoulder Pain Pills" in Chinese,
removes dampness and obstruction in the channels, expels wind and clears
away cold†. The herbal formula is used for helping aching of shoulder and arm, localized pain which may be
aggravated by cold and relieved by heat, limited by movement of the joints,
local swelling, without skin redness†. It is highly effective for relieving pain of limbs caused by arthralgia due to
wind-cold-dampness and has a more definite efficacy in periarthritis of shoulder†.
