What does it do?
中医所谓的"梅核气"是指咽喉部有如异物堵塞的感觉，但不影响进食为特征的症侯。因情志不畅，肝气郁滞，痰气互结，停聚于咽所致。大多数患者因情志抑郁而起病，咽中堵塞的感觉与情绪波动密切有关，在心情愉快、工作繁忙时，症状可减轻或消失；而当心情抑郁或注意力集中于咽部时则异物堵塞的感觉加重。当吞咽唾涎或空咽时明显感到吐之不出，咽之不下，而进食时，则毫无梗阻感觉。若借助现代仪器检查，并不能发现任何器质性病变。
半夏厚朴汤出自东汉医圣张仲景所撰《金匮要略》，主要功效是理气降逆，化痰散结。临床应用以咽中如有物梗阻，咯吐不出，吞咽不下，胸膈满闷，或咳或呕，舌苔白润或白滑，脉弦缓或弦滑为辨证要点。

Excellent product, works very fast and thoroughly
I've been dealing with 'plum pit throat' for several years, and even acupuncture treatments wouldn't resolve the phlegm and feeling of something stuck in my throat. After taking about six bottles of Ban Xia Hou Po Pian (PharynJoy) this ongoing problem was finally resolved, much to my relief! I highly recommend this product. Be sure to drink a lot of water while taking it because it can be drying in certain situations, but that's what it's for - to resolve excess phlegm.

On the third bottle
On the advice of one of the smartest people I know I bought this product as " the only product I know to deal with the problem of muscles closing and preventing breathing," a problem my wife found very threatening.
Gradually the problem has faded and I look forward to seeing if it is eliminated entirely. So far, so very noticeably good.

Works great!
I bought this mainly because I kept feeling like there was an "object stuck in my throat". This went on for months. Immediately after taking this, it went away and hasn't come back, even after stopping taking the pills. This also helps with phlegm, but that will start back up after stopping the pills.

Relief
I have suffered from painful and uncomfortable throat issues for a year and a half. I’ve had scopes, scans, X-rays, and acupuncture to find answers and relief. I found this product through research, and feel close to normal again after two week’s supply. Will be ordering more in the hope of complete relief and eradication of Plum Put Qi. I highly recommend this product!

Excellent results
I started this formula two week ago and am experiencing good results for my old lady bad sleep issues. Went from one hour sleep to three-four hours sleep in one go. I shall continue with this formula and observe how it goes.

Very quick results
I had anxiety and heart rate over 160. All that energy settled into my nasal passageways and formed a blocked energy which made me feel something was stuck in my throat. I quickly ordered this product and ActiveHerb sent it to me so quickly. Thank you for this. I didn’t take the full dosage as my symptoms are new and I felt I could start at a power dosage. I took 2 tablets the first two days and then 1 tablet a day for the rest of the week. The stuck energy is gone.

not working for me
I was hopeful about these after my accupuncturist recommended them. i have been on them for 2 weeks ( or more), and i am still having the SAME issue. in fact, it hasnt even lessened AT ALL. i also read some reviews online of others that have had good luck. I have always had good luck with chinese herbs, but these arent doing a thing. i am very disappointed and frustrated, bc i dont know what else to do... :-( There doesn't seem to be an answer for this.

Can it be crushed or dissolved with water? It's important for me because in addition to my plum pit, I have a choking sensation with grainy food too.. so I eat only mashed and shaked\liquid food for about 7 months :( Thanks.

I was taking Guang Ci Tang product: BAN XIA HOU PU PIAN; No K104. Can't find it in either your active or discontinued lines. How is it different from Ban Xia Hou Po Pian? Problem: pain upper right side of throat while eating. C-Scan showed nothing.
Thank you for your question. they are the same formula with a slight difference in the Chinese PingYin name spelling. All new batches have the Ban Xia Hou Po Pian on the labels.
