Safflower (Hong Hua) is not the same as Saffron
I made a mistake assuming that Safflower is equal to Saffron. That was my mistake.
Saffron that I received was in a good condition and well-packed by FoodSaver Heavy Duty Bag, which was very thoughtful. The price was inexpensive, and that I am satisfied with this purchase. I used the mill to make this closer to powder and cooked with rice in a rice cooker, seasoned with a little salt. It is not Yellow as Saffron Rice; and it does not really change the color of the rice; but it still give a little orange color. And the flavor was subtle but good.
